Let's not kid ourselves, shall we? When you're building a new computer, there are really only two reasons for choosing a new "box". The first is looks, and the second is the budget left after spending on the processor, graphics card and other "more important" components. Because what could matter more to a gamer than a fast processor, graphics card and NVMe drives? And the case? Well, if it's going to sit under the desk anyway, what does it matter? Features and functionality only come later, unless you're a very informed customer who carefully weighs up all the pros and cons. We respect that, but it isn't always the case, is it?
What have we got here?
The new Volcano Space Apex ARGB Midi is a case for those who buy with their eyes. And it can't stay under the desk. That's why you can move the I/O panel from the side to the front, whichever suits you best. Volcano Space is an aquarium-style case, which means that not only the side panel but also the front is made of tempered glass. This design shows off your installed components in the best possible way. That matters especially when you've spent a small fortune on a graphics card, processor and motherboard. And speaking of motherboards, you should know there are no compromises here: the Volcano Space takes motherboards with reversed connectors. Why? So you don't have to look at cables tangled everywhere. They now sit in the rear section, hidden behind the motherboard mounting wall, out of sight. Of course, you can fit "normal" motherboards too. You can comfortably install whatever you fancy, as the panels in this case are fitted with snap fasteners, so there's no laborious turning of screws. One, two, grab the panel, take it off and fit any component. Simple? Of course, that's why we make new cases: to keep things simple, easy and enjoyable.
How muuuuch?
You may be surprised by the price. Over PLN 500 for a Volcano case? OK, it costs more than the well-known Volcano Amirani, but check for yourself how much four 140 mm ARGB fans cost in stores like X-Kom, Morele, Media Expert, Alsen and others. Four of them, bought separately. You won't find them for less than PLN 200, and there are models you'd usually spend around PLN 350 on (as of March 2024). That means you're paying about PLN 200 for the case. Sounds better? Now add thick 0.8 mm steel sheet (and that really is thick), a fan speed controller, tempered glass on the side and front, and modern touches such as a USB-C port and snap-on panels. Now you know that buying the Volcano Space is a good deal.
What's it really like?
If you're wondering whether the Volcano Space is an "oven" because it has no airy front panel, don't worry: tests by BlackWhite on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eR3DfnsIVN0) and on PurePC (https://www.purepc.pl/modecom-volcano-space-apex-argb-obudowa-z-wyzszej-polki-przeszklona-konstrukcja-i-zestaw-140-mm-wentylatorow) show that it does veeeery well. Three 140 mm fans on the side of the case push cool air inside and cool the computer effectively, often beating designs with an airy front panel.
The icing on the cake.
You should also know that with the Volcano Space we've taken care over the details and nice extras. You get a screwdriver with the Volcano logo, a cloth for cleaning the glass panels, a GPU support and a box for screws. We know small things matter too, and on top of all the "meat" you get in the form of the case's many strengths, you deserve these extras as well. We call the Volcano Space our flagship product, because it's simply a "must have" case.
