What is the Volcano HEX power supply?
Volcano Hex is a series of Volcano power supplies developed to the ATX 3.1 and PCI Express 5.1 standards, supporting the most advanced and demanding hardware on the market.
The ATX 3.1/PCIe 5.1 standards meet the demands of the best graphics cards and set a real challenge for PC power supplies, requiring for example support for power excursions up to twice the PSU's rated power.
Volcano Hex is a power supply platform built on a half-bridge LLC resonant converter topology, with DC-DC conversion for the 3.3V and 5V rails, ensuring stable voltages regardless of load.
850 watts of pure power
Computers with powerful graphics cards and processors need a power supply that can handle high energy demand. MODECOM Volcano Hex is built to the ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards, a solution designed for stable operation even in the most demanding scenarios, such as gaming or advanced software.
Even if you later upgrade to a newer graphics card that needs more power, you get 850 WATTS here, which should easily handle more demanding PC builds.
