text help I bought MC-CC12 FHD car camera. It keeps changing date. It goes back to 2014.

Please download the recent version of software. It eliminates the problem with date. The problem consists in failed synchronisation.

The software may be downloaded from Customer service -> Download centre.

Update manual:
1. Copy file "FW96650A.bin" to a memory card.
2. Place the card in the device.
3. Turn on the device. The update will start automatically.
4. Wait ca. 30 seconds for the camera to start.
5. The update is finished.

Remember to delete "FW96650A.bin" after the update.

text help Does MC-CC12 have to be connected to car charger adaptor?

Yes, it does, because the built-in battery is only for keeping the device turned on in the case of any accident and taking footage of what happened.

text help I bought a new FreeWAY SX2 GPS system. Unfortunately, it doesn't charge. It is broken?

The GPS system will charge properly if you use dedicated DC 5 V 2 A car charger enclosed to the device. Using other chargers or charging via USB won't work properly.

text help There are stripes on the screen of my FreeWAY SX2. It is broken?

Stripes mean that the GPS system needs to be charged. It has nothing to do with any damage. You should plug it to a dedicated charger (enclosed to the device) and charge for ca. 20-30 minutes. After 20-30 minutes without turning the device on, it should turn on correctly. The screen will work fine.

Attention!
In some cars you can only charge a device when the engine works.

text help I have MapaMap software installled in my device. Can I use another software? My GPS system is FreeWAY SX2.

You can use any software compatible with Windows CE. You should bear in mind that some programs need to be configured to work with a given GPS system. Please contact the map distributor in order to verify the compatibility. MODECOM GPS systems are fully compatible with such programs as AutoMapa or MapaMap.

I think there was no stylus enclosed to my FreeWAY SX2. Where is it?

The stylus is placed in back attached to a holder, not the GPS itself.

text help My GPS system isn't detected as a removable disc. What is the problem?

Check the communication mode for USB connection. In order to do this, go to Settings -> USB settings / USB. "Mass storage" should be turned on. If mass storage was turned on, but PC still doesn't detect the mass storage, change USB cable for another one.

text help No audio in my GPS.

This may happen if FM transmitter is turned on. Go to settings -> FM transmitter and turn off the radio signal. The audio should be back.

text help I can't turn on the GPS program. Nothing happens when I press "navigation" button.

Probably the system program path wasn't determined correctly. Go to Settings -> GPS file and determine the correct path, e.g. in the case of Automapa - \ResidentFlash\AutoMapa EU\WceAM.exe. In the case of another program, you will probably have to determine another file, e.g. mobilenavigator.exe.

text help How can I verify the device number necessary for updating MapaMap?

The number is displayed after MapaMap start in menu Settings - > MapaMap INFO.

text help I bought a GPS system without a program installled, but the device has AutoMapa preinstallled. Can I use it?

The device may have pre-installled program, but you won't be able to use it without buying the license. The program may be removed from the device in order to free some space.

text help How may I change AutoMapa interface language?

The program has Polish language by default. In order to choose another language, please run the program and go to Settings -> General -> Interface language. Choose a given language and click OK.

text help My FreeWAY SX2 can't be charged with USB cable connected to my computer.

The GPS requires higher amperage. Connect the device with the use of car charger enclosed to the device.

text help After the software is updated, FreeWAY SX 7.0 requires calibration each time.

Please update the software in the following order:

1. Format the memory card in the adapter.
2. Download zipped update file, unzip it and copy files to memory card (the file may be downloaded at Customer service -> Download centre).
3. Safely remove the memory card from your computer.
4. Insert the memory card to your GPS and make the update.
5. Wait for the update to finish (2 stages) until the calibration windows.
6. Perform calibration and then click random spot on the screen in order to go to menu (don't wait 30 seconds, because the calibration data may not be saved).
7. Turn of the GPS with Power button and choose Finish. Remove the memory card from the device.

text help Can FreeWAY MX4/MX4 HD be connected via DUN?

The device doesn't support Bluetooth DUN , but you can use Smart Routes without LiveDrive AutoMapa.

Storage is divided into apps storage and multimedia storage (photos, mp3 files, etc.). Verify whether memory for apps isn't full. Go to Settings -> Storage -> Apps. In the case of full apps storage, you need to uninstall some of the apps you don't need.

text help My phone crashes when I use it or when it's turning on.

If you are able to go to menu, reset the device to factory settings. In order to do that, go to Settings -> Backup & reset -> Factory data reset. If the device keeps malfunctioning, you should reinstall the software. Update manual and the software you need may be downloaded from Customer service -> Download centre.

text help I'd like to connect MODECOM GPS navigation system to a universal car charger. Can I do it? What should I buy?

You just need to buy MC-C5VU2-34 with two USB slots with one of higher amperage enabling to charge the GPS.

text help How can I turn the data connection in FreeTAB 8015 IPS X4 LTE?

Go to Settings -> Data usage -> Mobile, and turn on Mobile data or go to quick settings and status bar, choose data connection and click on it.
In some cases, you will also have to turn on roaming data. In order to do that, go to Settings -> More -> Mobile networks and turn on Data connection (it may incur additional charges subject to your tariff scheme).

text help How to connect Bluetooth keyboard to FreeTAB 8015 IPS X4 LTE?

Go to Settings -> Bluetooth, ON. The tablet will automatically find available Bluetooth devices in pairing mode. Choose the device you want to connect with. Bluetooth will start pairing and will ask for your confirmation to establish Bluetooth connection. You will be given a pairing code. Choose Connect.

text help My tablet won't turn on. It stops at MODECOM logo.

Reset the tablet located on the chassis (user manual determines the exact location). If it isn't correct, you should reinstall the software. In order to do that, download update manual and the necessary software from Customer service -> Download centre

text help Alarm doesn't work in standby mode in FreeTAB 1001 with Android 4.4.2.

Perform update with the use of "MODECOM update"

Before you perform the update:
Charge the tablet at least to 75%. Turn on Wi-Fi and connect to the Internet. No data will be lost during update, however, we recommend creating a backup

1. Go to all apps from home screen.
2. Click "MODECOM update" (the app may be downloaded from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.modecom.mupdate&hl=pl).
3. Choose "Device" section and click the cell next to "Service code".
4. Enter 1001alarm in "Service code" and confirm using "OK".
5. Go to "Check for updates" and click on it.
6. Accept prompts.
7. After the system restarts, the update shall be activated automatically.

text help How can I change or add a new APN in FreeTAB 8015 IPS X4 LTE?

Go to Settings -> More -> Mobile networks -> Hotspots ->click on + in the upper right corner -> insert correct data received from the provider. Usually you only need to fill name, APN, user name, password, MCC and MNC -> click Save in the upper right corner.

text help I have a tablet with Windows system. It doesn't start. How can I reset it to factory settings?

You can reset it to factory settings using Recovery mode. In order to do that, connect wired mouse or/and keyboard before turning on the device (touchpanel driver isn't supported in Recovery mode).
You should perform the procedure three times according to the following instruction: press Power, turn on the device, release Power, as soon as "MODECOM - Intel inside" shows up, press Power and hold until the device is turned off.
Perform the procedure three times. Next, choose Troubleshoot ->Reset this PC.

Attention!
Depending on the option, data saved on the device will be deleted (Remove everything is recommended).

text help I bought Volcano Blaze goggles. When I try to pair them with mini-gamepad, a request for PIN shows up or "PIN incorrect" message. What can I do?

If the pairing is unsuccessful or "Incorrect PIN or password. Try again?" shows up, do the following:

1. Press Reset at the back of the gamepad.
2. If connection profile with GamePlayer is determined in Bluetooth settings, remove it.
3. Reboot your phone.
4. Set the gamepad to Key or Game mode and press Start and X in order to pair the devices. PIN isn't required by the device.

text help I own an iPhone. Can I pair my phone with mini-gamepad enclosed to Volcano Blaze?

Unfortunately, the gamepad doesn't support iOS.

text help How Volcano Blaze is controlled?

A pointer supported by gyroscope in both devices is used.

text help How can I pair Volcano Flare with my cell phone?

Please do as follows:

1. Gamepad should be fully charged. In order to do that, connect the cable to USB slot. Diode will light up.
2. Turn on Bluetooth and go to Bluetooth settings.
3. Turn on the gamepad - switch to "ON"
4. Press and hold X and HOME buttons for around 2-3 seconds (three diodes will start flickering very quickly - gamepad diode/keyboard/APP)
4A. If diodes flicker slowly, press and hold HOME until they go out. Press and hold X and then press and hold HOME - diode will start flickering.
5. Click searching for Bluetooth devices.
6. Gamepad will be detected as MODECOM Volcano Mobile GamePad. Choose the product.
7. The devices will be paired (PIN isn't required) - diodes will stop flickering (diode indicating gamepad mode will light up).

text help Will Volcano Flame work with iOS?

Unfortunately, the pad is only compatible with Android.

text help I bought a car holder MC-SHC01. Can I use it for a bigger smartphone than the specifications say?

Unfortunately, you can't. If you did, the smartphone would be unstable, which may cause damage to the device and be hazardous in transportation

text help Is it sufficient to know the laptop diameter when buying a bag from MODECOM?

The diagonal itself isn't sufficient, because it only determines the screen, not the whole laptop dimensions. You should follow the dimensions specified for each bag.

Connect a wired keyboard to the computer and click ESC while the system is booting.

Go to BIOS. in order to do that, connect a wired keyboard before you boot the computer and click ESC while it's booting. When you get to BIOS, go to Advanced -> OS/BOM Configuration -> Automatic Power ON (Enabled)

text help Wi-Fi signal is very weak in my Free Pc. What can I do?

Download the recent driver from Customer service -> Download centre. Free Pc 16 GB has different Wi-Fi system than Free Pc 32 GB, therefore, you should download a dedicated driver.

text help What functions are assigned to DPI button in MC-GM2 mouse?

The button has two functions - switch between profiles and DPI change.

Single click changes profiles (Normal - blue, multimedia - green, Windows - red), backlight changes. You can change DPI if you hold the button for a short while (backlight starts flickering, the colour stays the same).

text help Do I need software or a driver in order to program buttons in Volcano MC-GMX1 and Volcano MC-GMX?

Yes, macro support is only possible thanks to GMX Software. Both have their own dedicated software. You can download it from Customer service -> Download centre.

text help Can I buy a Nano receiver?

Unfortunately not. Each receiver has its own pairing code assigned to a specific piece.

text help Can I change backlight colour in MC-GMX?

In order to turn on the backlight or change its colour, you need to download and installl GMX Software. The software may be downloaded from Customer service -> Download centre. After opening the application, choose a given profile, go to Light Settings and set the parameters.

text help Where can I find Nano receiver in MODECOM Volcano MC-WGC1 (mouse and keyboard)?

Mouse and keyboard are connected with the use of one Nano receiver placed in the battery compartment (under the cover, under the battery).

text help Some keys in MC-TPK1 don't respond. What is the problem?

The keyboard is probably in NumLock mode (backlit diode 1). You should turn off NumLock mode by pressing Fn+NumLock. Diode 1 goes out.
